Ethan Hawke’s best role ever and he has done many good ones. A minister (Hawke) of a small congregation is called to a home where he discovers a suicide vest. It belongs to the caller’s husband, a troubled man who has lost faith in humanity as he observes what is being done to the planet. The minister counsels him to no avail. The depressed man messages the minister to meet him in the nearby woods. When the minister arrives he finds the man dead from a self inflicted rifle blast.
The minister now tends to the widow. He becomes more disconsolate himself as he looks deeper into the whos and whats of local business doing pollution. I won’t give anymore plot but to say the movie draws you in and then twists your head. My kind of movie.
